Kenny is a professional musician and songwriter with over 25 years’ experience performing live, recording in the studio, teaching, and as an accompanist. Dave Mascatello is a musician whose music has been described as medicine for the soul. With influences mostly from rock music, he blends a style that is wholly unique to him, sharing his experiences and journeys along the way. Justin Suede is a six-string slingin’ artist which brought him to Nashville in 2018. His original work is filled with heavy, dark, and whiskey aged stories - belted with conviction through the voice of a weathered soul. Shortly after receiving a recording contract for his debut EP, Justin moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2021, where he currently resides when he's not on the road.

Amanda’s music is born out of a love for 90s R&B, strong country women, big vocals like Celine Dion & Christina Aguilera, and honest story telling. She used to say she was a pop/R&B singer but realized that wasn’t entirely true. Her love of pop and R&B didn’t feel “right” and she couldn’t figure out why. She had an epiphany that she really loved the country music she grew up on and it's what her voice naturally intonated to and what her storytelling lyrics lent itself best to. She’s currently working on new music hat will reflect this shift better.

Country/Americana songstress Melissa Quinn Fox is known best for her story driven songs, unique vocal tone, and captivating live performances. Reviews have described Melissa’s vocals as gritty, gorgeous, and a sound all her own. BettySoo grew up listening to the Great American songbook and country radio. Her 2007 solo disc, Little Tiny Secrets, garnered heavy regional airplay; 2009’s Heat Sin Water Sin produced by Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard), provided building blocks to a national (and international) audience. In 2014, When We’re Gone, co-produced with cellist Brian Standefer (Alejandro Escovedo, Terry Allen) placed her firmly in the top rank of songwriters working today. She’s won the requisite awards: Kerrville NewFolk, Big Top Chautauqua Songwriter of the Year, Dave Carter Songwriting Award at Sisters Folk Festival, Mountain Stage NewSong Competition. BettySoo has recently toured both as a solo artist and with Nobody's Girl and has been onstage singing harmonies for artists such as Eliza Gilkyson, or on the road with Bonnie Whitmore in support of James McMurtry’s national tours.

Will Baskin graduated from George Mason University in 2016 and started playing music professionally in 2015. He got his start singing at a young age and picked up the guitar from video lessons on youtube.com. His family raised him on Elvis, Johnny Cash and the Beatles but he loves mixing in some Jazz, Motown and contemporary music into his set. He is the front man for the band Up All Night.

Brent Funkhouser’s brand of achingly uplifting songwriting was born out of the river bends and mountain hollows of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. Cathy is a DC-based singer-songwriter who has been singing from a young age and performing regularly around the DMV for almost 10 years. She is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar primarily, but also piano and percussion.

Kristin Forbes recorded and toured as a solo artist for years in Boston before moving to Washington, DC to play keys with The Travis Morrison Hellfighters (frontman of The Dismemberment Plan). It was in DC in 2005 that she met Olivia Mancini and picked up bass to play in her band, Olivia Mancini & The Mates. She also went on to play bass in The Andalusians. Kristin now lives in Baltimore and has rediscovered her love for playing Jamaican music. Dubbed Lady Hatchet by her peers, Kristin is the fearless leader of The Scotch Bonnets, her punky reggae band that also serves as an outlet for her song-writing. Over the course of their ten year career, the Bonnets have released two full length albums. The band backed and recorded with HR, singer from Bad Brains, and twice toured backing Roddy Radiation, lead guitarist of The Specials. This past March she opened for The English Beat at the Birchmere.

Holly is a singer-songwriter and bass player originally from Louisville, KY, transplanted to L.A. and then to Washington DC. She started out studying classical piano, played trombone in high school and college. One day she was listening to “Spirit of the Radio”, singing along to the bass line, and realized that she was a pretty good singer and just had to be a bass player. She also plays the piano and guitar.

Steve Everett is a Pop'N'Roll™ singer & songwriter from Nashville, TN. Born in Albany, GA & raised in Greensboro, NC, Steve blends positive vibes with catchy, melodic hooks and hip, clever lyrics to form his fun musical style. Steve studied music performance at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and plays stages ranging from The House of Blues, The Rock Boat music festival, all the way to acoustic home shows. He released a solo CD of original music in 2000, entitled “That Swagger, That Thing!” Pete has assembled an ever-growing list of tunes you know and love for live gigs. Patty Reese is a fan favorite and critic’s choice in the Mid-Atlantic region and over the years and she's collected WAMMIES (Washington Area Music Awards) for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Roots Rock Band and Vocalist. Laced with quick wit and a unique perspective, he tackles topics ranging from dating apps to police brutality. Dewayne is a DC-based standup comedian who performs all over the country. He’s a combat-wounded veteran who served in the Army for 23 years. His humor is drawn from his unique take on his military experience, his life as a husband and father, and the general craziness of life. Dewayne has worked alongside amazing comedians like Josh Blue, Jackie Kashian, Ryan Niemiller, Tony Woods, PJ Walsh, and many others. Ian Toppall is a young stand up comic from Northern Virginia who aspires of being on SNL one day… but right now he just hopes to get through senior year of high school. Ryan Benton is a pianist, guitarist and vocalist performing solo, duo and band shows throughout the area. A trained musician with a degree in music from James Madison University, Ryan has been performing blues, pop, jazz and rock in acoustic and electric acts for over 25 years. The Ryan Benton Jazz Duo with Chris Marsh on bass, and Ryan playing keys and guitar on a mix of jazz standards, soul tunes and funk fusion.

Hall Vote is a singer songwriter out of Centreville, Virginia. He has performed as the lead singer for The Boneshakers (“Oh So Black”-Cellar Door Records) for nearly 15 years. He also performs as a singer and trumpet player for the Norfolk-based group, Savannah. Currently, he has developed a solo acoustic act where one might hear their favorite tune from the 60’s ,70s, 80s, or 90's but current hits are a must.

Rick Landers - vocals/guitar; and Heartland (Ron Goad - backup vocals/percussion; John Werntz - bass; and Jim Nagle - dobro) perform mostly originals and a few select covers. Rick was recently invited to record at Cabin Studios, owned by Les Thompson (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band co-founder with Jackson Browne). His original song "Angel on the Wing" recently (2021) won a Songwriters of Washington Award. Rick also publishes Guitar International Magazine (2005 to 2022) and has interviewed legends of the guitar; Les Paul, Slash, Jose' Feliciano; songwriter Jimmy Webb, Buddy Guy and many more; most recent: Eric Gales, Mark Warner (Grand Funk); Jim McCarty (The Yardbirds); and John Hall (Orleans).

Proudly born in Washington, D.C., Charlie was raised in music. He has a Masters in the school of life and a passion for all things. He’s played guitar for nearly 30 years and was writing well before. His catalogue is ever growing and includes Little Richard, Dire Straits, Buena Vista Social Club, et al. His originals are truly his own, though they draw from the deepest wells of the world. Charles Mason loves everybody and wants to show it.

Justin Suede is a six-string slingin’ artist which brought him to Nashville in 2018. His original work is filled with heavy, dark, and whiskey aged stories - belted with conviction through the voice of a weathered soul. Shortly after receiving a recording contract for his debut EP, Justin moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2021, where he currently resides when he's not on the road.

Brent Funkhouser’s brand of achingly uplifting songwriting was born out of the river bends and mountain hollows of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. His style of songwriting displays influence from classics like Tom Petty, americana contemporaries like Jason Isbell, and Texas/red dirt songsters like Turnpike Troubadours, filtered through his own original voice. The singer-songwriter has travelled up and down the east coast to perform to attentive audiences, opening for award-winning artists such as Judy Collins and Phil Vassar in the process.

Will Baskin graduated from George Mason University in 2016 and started playing music professionally in 2015. He got his start singing at a young age and picked up the guitar from video lessons on youtube.com. His family raised him on Elvis, Johnny Cash and the Beatles but he loves mixing in some Jazz, Motown and contemporary music into his set. He is the front man for the band Up All Night.

King Street Bluegrass are 2021 Wammie award finalists, with blues, folk, and country influences. Although based in DC, the members have rural, farm and coal miner family roots, from the mountains of West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Southern Virginia. They have been entertaining audiences with familiar bluegrass, country, Americana and original tunes since 2008.

Evan grew up in a house full of music and gained a healthy appreciation for the Beatles, Beach Boys, Motown, Elton John, Bob Dylan, and CSNY. Later he started finding his own way musically, finding artists that would shape his tastes like U2, REM, The Cure, New Order, and Prince. It wasn’t until 1994, though, when he first picked up a guitar after hearing “Definitely Maybe” by Oasis. The guitar sat quietly while life got in the way, but after many years he finally found the resolve to start playing music again. Evan will play tunes by the artists that shaped him and hopefully leave an audience thinking “I forgot how much I love that song.

Mixing genres from rock to folk to soul to bluegrass; flavors as varied as jazz and hip hop curl through the sound of Washington Area Music Association’s “Best Contemporary Folk Group” – ilyAIMY. ilyAIMY and their co-fronts Heather Aubrey Lloyd and Rob Hinkal have won accolades from Kerrville Folk Festival, National Association for Campus Activities, the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival (Most-Wanted Artist for both the band and Heather solo!). Heather has been recognized by the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Rocky Mountain Folks Festival and won 2019’s Bernard Ebb Songwriting Award. Most recently, both Rob & Heather won Gold Awards in the 2020 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest.

Bryan Williams is an artist, whether it is painting or playing music. his life experiences and feelings shine through his art. Music has always been a love of his and he now enjoys sharing with others his soulful originals of life stories and travels. Bryan will be playing a variety of cover songs that inspired him to sing and write songs throughout his life.

The Tristano School project is a repertory ensemble that celebrates the late jazz pianist and educator Lennie Tristano. The group performs the compositions of Tristano as well.
