Kenny is a professional musician and songwriter with over 25 years’ experience performing live, recording in the studio, teaching, and accompanying. Hall Vote is a singer songwriter out of Centreville, Virginia. He has performed as the lead singer for The Boneshakers (“Oh So Black”-Cellar Door Records) for nearly 15 years. He also performs as a singer and trumpet player for the Norfolk-based group, Savannah. Currently, he has developed a solo acoustic act where one might hear their favorite tune from the 60’s ,70s, 80s, or 90's but current hits are a must.

Abbie Palmer has been a performing, composing, and recording harper since 1999. Abbie attended college at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia and graduated in 2010 with degrees in Classical harp performance and music therapy. Abbie has performed genres of Classical/orchestral, jazz, rock/pop, and her primary focuses are original/singer-songwriter and Celtic/folk music.

Jay Powell is one of the most recognizable, professional, and talented performers in Northern Virginia. He has many sides as the lead singer for the legendary ROADDUCKS, guitarist/vocalist in JAYVA, and as a soloist. Jay’s styles range from rock to soul and country delivered with warmth and personality.

Hilary started playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon became a self-taught keyboard player and songwriter. She studied Music Education with a voice concentration at Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music before relocating to Northern Virginia. She returned to the acoustic gigging game in August of 2015 performing in local venues.  She has been songwriting with Grammy-winning writers and coming into her own stylistically.  Her influences are incredibly varied, and her style transcends generations and genre barriers with something new every week.

Teghan Devon is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has been writing and performing her songs for 12 years. She graduated from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy and then went on to graduate from Berklee College of Music in 2021. She is a two-time New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival and has won multiple Silver Awards and the Young Artist Award in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. She has released 2 projects, her debut album “Fingers Crossed”, and an EP called “Little Lion”. Her voice has been compared to that of Norah Jones, Edie Brickell, and Fiona Apple and her songs show traces of her heroes, Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, Mitski, and Juliana Hatfield.

Britton James is a seasoned musician and entrepreneur who is dedicated to writing, recording, and providing live entertainment. His feel-good guitar strumming and vocal stylings in the vein of Third Eye Blind with a little bit of ska upstrokes, show off his wide range of musical capabilities. He is energetic, entertaining, and well worth listening to.

The Luke Johnson Band is a high energy posse of musical pioneers who thrive on improvisation and conscious lyrical hooks. Blending elements of rock, funk, jazz, and roots with their original grooves and freshly spread jams, they transcend limitation with a strong voice. Scott Fallon has been entertaining audiences throughout the DC/Metro area, nationally, and internationally for 30 years. Scott is recognized as one of the area’s most respected musicians. He has shared the stage and spotlight with renowned artists such as Warren Haynes of Govt. Mule and George Porter of The Funky Meters. He has also performed with bands such as Better Than Ezra, The Nighthawks, as well as regional acts such as The All Mighty Senators and The Billy Walton Band.

Brian Day has been singing and playing guitar professionally since his early twenties. Whether singing a traditional song in a native style or a ballad accompanied by his guitar, his wide selection of Irish tunes and personality make him an entertainer to remember.

Justin Suede is a six-string slingin’ artist which brought him to Nashville in 2018. His original work is filled with heavy, dark, and whiskey aged stories - belted with conviction through the voice of a weathered soul. Shortly after receiving a recording contract for his debut EP, Justin moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2021, where he currently resides when he's not on the road.

Trailin’ Smoke is Northern Virginia’s acoustic country fried classic rock band. There are still parts of American music where songs matter. Where people and the stories they tell mean everything. Where care is taken to craft each note and every word. Country Fried Rock shines a light on these parts of American music and introduces its listeners to its people, stories, and songs. Trailin’ Smoke is John Seiler on vocals and guitar, Trevor Havens on vocals, guitar and mandolin, and Jonathan Broga on bass.

Jason Perry is a musician/ entertainer with over 20 years of experience in the business as a vocalist, guitarist, and harmonica player. This native Canadian's unique approach, style and performance make him a leader among leaders, a true captain. It has been said of him that not one shall tire from witnessing his performance. He is also occasionally seen on stage with several other bands that perform in the DMV area.

Dave Mascatello is a musician whose music has been described as medicine for the soul. With influences mostly from rock music, he blends a style that is wholly unique to him, sharing his experiences and journeys along the way. Dave has hosted open mic nights in the Northern Virginia Area for over 10 years and is well known in the area for supporting local talent. 

A saxophonist, a guitarist, a singer/songwriter, and a bandleader, Ken has been described as a purveyor of restless midwestern sentimentality, who searches in his songs for the kinds of truth that’s often best found within oneself. Whether performing as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter or with his full band Cross Kentucky, Ken stays busy, playing 200+ shows a year across the region as well as the East Coast, Midwest, and South. Born and raised in Champaign, Illinois, Ken studied classical saxophone at the University of Illinois before graduating from UNLV in Las Vegas, NV with a degree in jazz studies.

Brent Funkhouser’s brand of achingly uplifting songwriting was born out of the river bends and mountain hollows of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. His style of songwriting displays influence from classics like Tom Petty, americana contemporaries like Jason Isbell, and Texas/red dirt songsters like Turnpike Troubadours, filtered through his own original voice. The singer-songwriter has travelled up and down the east coast to perform to attentive audiences, opening for award-winning artists such as Judy Collins and Phil Vassar in the process.

Keeping it simple and soulful, Brent Peterson combines rock, country, reggae and pop with improvisation to create memorable and refreshing music with heart and soul. Performing over 100 shows a year, this is a sound crafted on the road and in front of audiences in Washington, DC & nationwide. He is also the vocalist/guitarist for Brent & Co.

Tejas Singh is an Indian American singer/songwriter from Northern Virginia. His music features strong vocals, genre-bending, pop focused melodies and instrumental hooks. The studio work is radio ready but Tejas is definitely one to see live: Strong vocals over live loops of guitar over backbeats and lead lines create a wall of sound that is captivating. This year he has released 5 songs from his upcoming EP "Closer/Warmer" and is currently performing all over the DMV.

Chris Cassaday is a regular performer at some of the most prominent venues in his hometown of Washington, DC. During his solo live performances, Chris includes the use of a looper pedal and other interesting effects, giving his solo performances a one-man-band type of appeal and the ability to keep large crowds entertained and dancing. In the summer of 2018, Chris co-founded a funk-blues-rock fusion three-piece band called The Cassaday Concoction. 

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Chuck moved around Tennessee and Kentucky in his early years. Always interested in music, in the 80's he joined Turley Richard and the Numbers and regionally toured with the band for a few years. After Turley retired, the band became The Score and continued to tour for 2 more years. Chuck was scouted by an agent out of Memphis and offered a house gig with the band MVP at Capt Bilbo's and he remained there until the club was torn down. He took the nucleus of that band and joined the National Artist Agency and toured nationally until 1998. Since moving to the greater Washington area he has headed up the Mystery Machine DMV Band, bringing the funk to the funkless, and the party to those who forgot how.

Will Baskin graduated from George Mason University in 2016 and started playing music professionally in 2015. He got his start singing at a young age and picked up the guitar from video lessons on youtube.com. His family raised him on Elvis, Johnny Cash and the Beatles but he loves mixing in some Jazz, Motown and contemporary music into his set. He is the front man for the band Up All Night.

Coming together because of a passion for playing beautiful music, Elemental Alibi mixes musicianship and live performing like no other acoustic duo. After graduating in music composition and performance from Salisbury University, Smith migrated to the DMV area. He has developed a strong fan base and attracted attention from many well-known names in the music industry, from Performing Songwriter magazine to Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket to Ben Stein. With his addictive melodies, a soulful vocal style and an off-the-beaten-path kind of pop-sensibility, Smith is steadily becoming a well-known performer on the East Coast. 

King Street Bluegrass are 2021 Wammie award finalists, with blues, folk, and country influences. Although based in DC, the members have rural, farm and coal miner family roots, from the mountains of West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Southern Virginia. They have been entertaining audiences with familiar bluegrass, country, Americana and original tunes since 2008.

Guitarist and singer Larry Benade is a founding member of the band Blues Condition, and before that, of the infamous alt-bluegrass band Coup de Grass. Ron Rosas is a DC-based blues, R&B, R&R, and country harmonica player who never strays too long from the classic Chicago blues style. Together, they are the Tail Chasers and their repertoire will celebrate bluegrass and blues as well as other Americana styles.

The Ryan Benton Jazz Duo features Ryan on piano, guitar and vocals, with Chris Marsh on upright bass. Ryan, with a degree in music from James Madison University, has been performing blues, pop, jazz and rock in acoustic and electric acts for over 25 years. Ryan and Chris will play jazz and soul as part of the Spotlight on the Arts Spring Festival. You can also see Ryan playing with The Voodoo Blues, Benton and McKay, Mangione and Benton Jazz as well as solo and with other groups. 

Since graduating high school, Danny has dedicated himself to playing and teaching music. He spent some time at George Mason University, honing his skills as an overall musician and jazz drummer. During the early pandemic, like many others, he took up to making music videos on YouTube and has fallen in love with that platform. Recently, Danny has continued to play solo acoustic shows, and set himself in full motion to put together a band.

Cristian weaves together genres from throughout the world with a strong foundation in classical, jazz and South American music. He had the honor of being an Artist in Residence at Strathmore for the class of 2014-2015.

The Quentin Walston Trio is heralded as "stunning" and "impeccable" by Clarke Monthly. This trio blends memorable melodies and striking rhythms with adventurous improvisations.  The trio will be performing exciting originals from the group’s latest release, “The Good Book Suite” as well as jazz standards from bebop and beyond. This trio’s foot-tapping, fun, and energetic sound is one you don’t want to miss!

Shanna started her career at the University of Virginia and is now based in Nashville. Field Shaman is the AKA for Richard Sheehe, a Fairfax City-based guitarist and singer, performing regionally as a solo artist and bandleader for more than two decades. Bassist Eric Kritzler joins for this duo performance of classic rock and curated deep tracks from the 60s-today -- and featuring a special showcase set of originals from Field Shaman's Laurentide album (available at CD Cellar, Amazon and streaming on Spotify.)

Jon Fritz has been performing professionally in the Washington DC area since 1996 mostly as a solo act but also as front man for various duos, trios & bands. He also lived and performed for 10 years in Central & South America and Mexico. His style of interpreting the music of other artists and his passionate stage performances are what sets him apart from other local talent as well as his professionalism and attention to giving a venue what they seek musically. His song repertoire covers Elvis Presley, Beatles & Frankie Valli thru the great classics of the 70's & 80's. With alternative 90's music making a strong comeback, JON FRITZ has added to his song list many bands from that great era including Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, Collective Soul & Live.

There's something about a good song. It can define a moment, a night, an era, or a lifetime. It can unite a crowd of people in motion, or it can blend seamlessly into the ambiance of a space. Successful musical careers are difficult to attain, but a good song can come from anywhere. From Steve Winwood to Tom Waits along with his own songs, Greg wants to become part of the tapestry.

Tamara Mae Dovell is a soulful singer songwriter from Jeffersonton, Virginia. She performs solo and as a duo with Ronald Fletcher, playing mostly tasteful original music in Northern Virginia. Tamara started writing music as therapy for herself, hoping to connect to as many people as possible. Tamara's music can best be described as a mix between blues, country and folk.

Justina Beth-El has a passion for writing raw, uncensored lyrics and emotive melodies and has so from an early age. She followed her passion through multiple musical outlets leading her to launch her professional music career in 2015 as the lead singer, songwriter and arranger for the DC area band, L.A.T.O. Amanda’s music is born out of a love for 90s R&B, strong country women, big vocals like Celine Dion & Christina Aguilera, and honest story telling. She used to say she was a pop/R&B singer but realized that wasn’t entirely true. Her love of pop and R&B didn’t feel “right” and she couldn’t figure out why. She had an epiphany that she really loved the country music she grew up on and it's what her voice naturally intonated to and what her storytelling lyrics lent itself best to. She’s currently working on new music hat will reflect this shift better.

Country/Americana songstress Melissa Quinn Fox is known best for her story driven songs, unique vocal tone, and captivating live performances. Reviews have described Melissa’s vocals as gritty, gorgeous, and a sound all her own. Since 2021, the hard-working musician has released 7 well received singles, was featured on the radio in Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., and played over 150 live shows, with the most notable opening for country star Jerrod Niemann. Melissa was recently recognized for her exceptional songwriting and winning the Best Country/Americana Song at the 2022 Washington D.C. Area Wammie Awards for her hit single ‘Back There.’

Her 2007 solo disc, Little Tiny Secrets, garnered heavy regional airplay; 2009’s Heat Sin Water Sin produced by Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams, Ray Wylie Hubbard), provided building blocks to a national (and international) audience. In 2014, When We’re Gone, co-produced with cellist Brian Standefer (Alejandro Escovedo, Terry Allen) placed her firmly in the top rank of songwriters working today. She’s won the requisite awards: Kerrville NewFolk, Big Top Chautauqua Songwriter of the Year, Dave Carter Songwriting Award at Sisters Folk Festival, Mountain Stage NewSong Competition. BettySoo has recently toured both as a solo artist and with Nobody's Girl and has been onstage singing harmonies for artists such as Eliza Gilkyson, or on the road with Bonnie Whitmore in support of James McMurtry’s national tours.

Will Baskin graduated from George Mason University in 2016 and started playing music professionally in 2015. He got his start singing at a young age and picked up the guitar from video lessons on youtube.com. His family raised him on Elvis, Johnny Cash and the Beatles but he loves mixing in some Jazz, Motown and contemporary music into his set. He is the front man for the band Up All Night.

Carly is a two-time D.C. Blues Society Battle of the Bands Winner and was proclaimed D.C.'s Queen of the Blues in 2016 by Dr. Nick Johnson of WPFW Radio. In 2021, Carly was nominated 7 times and won the WAMMIE award for Best Blues Artist/Band.

Cathy is a DC-based singer-songwriter who has been singing from a young age and performing regularly around the DMV for almost 10 years. She is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar primarily, but also piano and percussion.

Kristin Forbes recorded and toured as a solo artist for years in Boston before moving to Washington, DC to play keys with The Travis Morrison Hellfighters (frontman of The Dismemberment Plan). It was in DC in 2005 that she met Olivia Mancini and picked up bass to play in her band, Olivia Mancini & The Mates. She also went on to play bass in The Andalusians. Kristin now lives in Baltimore and has rediscovered her love for playing Jamaican music. Dubbed Lady Hatchet by her peers, Kristin is the fearless leader of The Scotch Bonnets, her punky reggae band that also serves as an outlet for her song-writing. Over the course of their ten year career, the Bonnets have released two full length albums. The band backed and recorded with HR, singer from Bad Brains, and twice toured backing Roddy Radiation, lead guitarist of The Specials. This past March she opened for The English Beat at the Birchmere.

Holly is a singer-songwriter and bass player originally from Louisville, KY, transplanted to L.A. and then to Washington DC. She started out studying classical piano, played trombone in high school and college. One day she was listening to “Spirit of the Radio”, singing along to the bass line, and realized that she was a pretty good singer and just had to be a bass player. She also plays the piano and guitar.

Steve Everett is a Pop'N'Roll™ singer & songwriter from Nashville, TN. Pete is originally from Boston, where he attended Emerson College and studied Mass Communication, Radio & TV Production, and Theater. Pete played in many rock bands over the years as bassist and singer, including some fun at shows at classic rock clubs like The Channel, CBGB, the Whisky a Go Go, and the Troubadour. He released a solo CD of original music in 2000, entitled “That Swagger, That Thing!” Pete has assembled an ever-growing list of tunes you know and love for live gigs. His work as a marketing professional has required more and more voiceover work and production with the influx of podcasts and other multimedia.
