Charles McCullough is a wayfaring troubadour who is embarked on an everlasting musical ramble. Over the years and miles, Charles has performed at untold fairs, festivals, clubs, pubs, and house parties. He draws inspiration from the bedrock of hard folk, country, blues, and rock ‘n roll. His music channels the cosmic echoes of dark honky tonks, smoky carnival tents, distant radio signals, and minstrel spirit animals. In the past three years, Charles has garnered a Gold Award and two Finalist Awards in the Songwriters Association of Washington Mid-Atlantic Song Contest.

Justin Suede is a six-string slingin’ artist which brought him to Nashville in 2018. His original work is filled with heavy, dark, and whiskey aged stories - belted with conviction through the voice of a weathered soul. Shortly after receiving a recording contract for his debut EP, Justin moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2021, where he currently resides when he's not on the road.

Brent Funkhouser’s brand of achingly uplifting songwriting was born out of the river bends and mountain hollows of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. His style of songwriting displays influence from classics like Tom Petty, americana contemporaries like Jason Isbell, and Texas/red dirt songsters like Turnpike Troubadours, filtered through his own original voice. The singer-songwriter has travelled up and down the east coast to perform to attentive audiences, opening for award-winning artists such as Judy Collins and Phil Vassar in the process.

Elevado is a singer-songwriter duo composed of dual baritones, Brad Rhodes (vocals, piano, guitar) and Brent Shuttleworth (vocals, guitar). Both were independent, national touring artists that combined forces in Northern Virginia at the head of the 2020 quarantine. Their inspiration is drawn from their favorite artists, writers and teachers expanding beyond the music industry: Eckhart Tolle, Brené Brown, Damien Rice, Jon Bellion, and many more. Their sound is grounded in dynamic and vulnerable lyrics brought to life by the colorful exploration of melody crafted within transcendent musical landscapes.

Annie Stokes is a dark Americana songstress and folk lyricist from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Virginia. Raised on musical theater and her mom's oldies, she began writing poetry and short stories at a young age. When she picked up a guitar at age 20, everything clicked, and she fulfilled her destiny of becoming an emotional millennial troubadour.

The band features Brian Renzella on guitar, Marlo Lewis on mandolin, Pam Ferguson on fiddle, Evan Sands on banjo, and John Werntz on bass.

Influenced at this early age by classic country musicians such as Willie Nelson, George Strait, George Jones and Merle Haggard, Chris began to learn guitar at age 13. By 17 he was teaching himself to play and sing the songs of his country music heroes.

Carmelle believes all mystical traditions point to love, compassion, harmony, humility and respect.

This band is everywhere, from festival stage to local clubs and restaurants, plus airplay on Bluegrass Country Radio, The Bluegrass Jamboree, and WAMU's Open Mic Program. . They were named a Wammie (Washington Area Music Award) 2021 finalist for best bluegrass band, and were also nominated as finalists in 2020.

JM Stevens

The West Point, Mississippi native grew up against a backdrop of competing priorities. Stevens’ father was a small-town lawyer, and his mother was an accomplished church singer and pianist. When Stevens was in high school, his older brother Rogers was selling millions of records as guitarist for Blind Melon. Guess which career path won out for JM? In a bid for spontaneity, Stevens knocked out the basic tracks for Invisible Lines, his solo debut, with bassist Andrew Duplantis (Son Volt, Bob Mould, Meat Puppets) and drummer George Duron (Roky Erickson, Jon Dee Graham, Dumptruck) in just one day. Critics say this album recalls records from the Jayhawks, Drive-by Truckers and Uncle Tupelo.

DMV native Chuck Bowley has been performing solo and in several bands around the area for over 20 years. Raised on classic rock radio, Chuck performs your favorite hits from the 60’s all the way to today, with his own twist. Long Island born James Bandini has been playing music since the third grade where he picked up an upright bass and never looked back. He is now a sophomore at Belmont University in Nashville, TN where he is focusing on his studies and playing and touring with local Nashville artists on a regular basis.

Chuckie D. Duo

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Chuckie moved around Tennessee and Kentucky in his early years. Always interested in music, in the 80's he joined Turley Richard and the Numbers and regionally toured with the band for a few years. After Turley retired, the band became The Score and continued to tour for 2 more years. Chuck was scouted by an agent out of Memphis and offered a house gig with the band MVP at Capt Bilbo's and he remained there until the club was torn down. He took the nucleus of that band and joined the National Artist Agency and toured nationally until 1998. Since moving to the greater Washington area he has headed up the Mystery Machine DMV Band, bringing the funk to the funkless, and the party to those who forgot how. Chuckie will be joined by Giovanni Hernandez on Lead Guitar and Vocals.

Hannah Grace Kelly is a singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Her new music is in the process of being created now. Kelly grew up in suburban Tennessee, but you won’t consider her songs simple country music. She writes from the point of view of a girl-next-door, and marries it to her soulful, raw voice. With a bubbly attitude, slight edge, and a heart of gold, Kelly is a force to be reckoned with. Organic as it gets, she’s bringing back the roots of rock, the passion in pop, and the story-telling in country.

Sol has shared the stage with acts such as Jon Cleary, Soulive, Dumpstaphunk, The Wood Brothers, Sonny Landreth, Robert Randolph, Eric Lindell, Roosevelt Collier, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, Victor Wainwright, Booker T Jones, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Shemekia Copeland, Jackie Greene and many more. Rick was recently invited to record at Cabin Studios, owned by Les Thompson (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band co-founder with Jackson Browne). His original song "Angel on the Wing" recently (2021) won a Songwriters of Washington Award. Rick also publishes Guitar International Magazine (2005 to 2022) and has interviewed legends of the guitar; Les Paul, Slash, Jose' Feliciano; songwriter Jimmy Webb, Buddy Guy and many more; most recent: Eric Gales, Mark Warner (Grand Funk); Jim McCarty (The Yardbirds); and John Hall (Orleans).

Evan grew up in a house full of music and gained a healthy appreciation for the Beatles, Beach Boys, Motown, Elton John, Bob Dylan, and CSNY. Later he started finding his own way musically, finding artists that would shape his tastes like U2, REM, The Cure, New Order, and Prince. It wasn’t until 1994, though, when he first picked up a guitar after hearing “Definitely Maybe” by Oasis. The guitar sat quietly while life got in the way, but after many years he finally found the resolve to start playing music again. Evan will play tunes by the artists that shaped him and hopefully leave an audience thinking “I forgot how much I love that song.

Receiving honorable mentions in both Northern Virginia Rhythm and Maryland’s Music Monthly as a local solo acoustic performer in the mid-90s, Jon headed west in 97 where he met musicians from around the country and formed the San Diego-based band “Southbound Jonny” After fronting the high energy country rock and blues band for nearly 2 decades. Playing around the southwest and opening for acts such as Hal Ketchum and Dwight Yoakam. Virginia’s native son has returned home and back to his roots as a solo acoustic performer. Jon’ mix of 80s 90s country, americana, classic rock and blues is a subtle blend of vocal and acoustic harmony, fed by the energy in just about any room he seems to find himself in.

Jillian Matundan is an award-winning, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter living in Northern Virginia. Her music and style are a blend of her favorite acoustic, rock, indie, and folk influences and inspirations. She's been winning audiences with her deft and percussive guitar style, soothing vocals, and her warm, unassuming, and self-deprecating stage presence. Born and raised in New York State, she fell in love with classical music when she began taking violin lessons at the age of three. Jillian trained on piano, flute, and even sitar-but is self-taught on all the other instruments she plays (guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, string bass, and a host of other random instruments). She took a fifteen-year hiatus from writing and performing music but encouraged by friends and fellow songwriters, Jillian began playing solo at local open mics in January 2019, sharing songs she had only started writing a few months before and has been on a tear ever since, winning six Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Awards.

Scott Fallon, Gregg Park, and John David Coppola make up the interactive musical adventure known as The Free Flowing Musical Experience, “Alexandria’s Legendary Acoustic Jam Band.” The “Relix Magazine Jam Off” award winners aim to capture the diversity of their influences and expand upon each song as an improvisational journey into what can be found on the other end. Rock, folk, country, blues, jazz, and original material is what makes up the Free Flowing Musical Experience catalog. With close to 5000 Facebook fans, FFME has become a regular at some of the area’s most legendary clubs, including The Birchmere, The State Theatre, & The BrightBox Theatre.

Currently based in Harrisonburg and Fairfax, Virginia, Fernandez is a vocalist and guitarist breaking into the music scene this year. With musical influences ranging from Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash to Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, Caitlin continues to be inspired by all the classic and current stars in the country music world. As an artist, she is on a mission to find her voice, share her passion for storytelling, and bring people together through the joy and healing power of music. Fernandez is going into her senior year as a Graphic Design major and Creative Writing minor at James Madison University.

Ethiopian-American vocalist Munit Mesfin and Argentine-American guitarist Cristian Perez bring soulful renditions of jazz standards, oldies and pop songs. Munit is an Ethiopian singer and songwriter best known for working in a duo with German vocalist and guitarist Jӧrg Pfeil. She sings in her mother tongue Amharic and English, with inspiration from traditional Ethiopian songs. Some of her music includes vocalization without words. Cristian weaves together genres from throughout the world with a strong foundation in classical, jazz and South American music. He was an Artist in Residence at Strathmore for the class of 2014-2015.

Jamie Rose is a 24 year-old guitarist, singer/songwriter and performer whose goal with his music is to create an atmosphere in which he and the listeners can feel at peace and free together in harmony. He plays music of all different genres from the 50s to the 2020s with his goal being “to break down barriers between generations of people, to get the older crowd going with songs by the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and then have them still digging the music by the time we get to playing Justin Bieber. And vice versa with the younger crowd.” Jamie also performs his original music which touches on rock and roll, R&B, Americana, and hip hop music. With his energetic stage presence and his eclectic repertoire of songs. Jamie is sure to get those who listen into the groove.

Jimmy Mowery grew up in Altoona, PA. At age eleven, after losing his father to a terrible tragedy, he decided to follow his father's dream of being a professional singer. Once he taught himself how to play guitar, he began writing songs as a way of getting out bottled up emotion. In 2019, Mowery finished in the top 24 on season 16 of The Voice, and worked with Adam Levine, Charlie Puth, and John Legend on the show. He has a story of true persistence, as it was the 11th time of trying out that was the charm. Playing over 200 shows annually while living in Myrtle Beach, Mowery traded in his sticks and bricks home for a RV in order to travel the country performing music.

Receiving honorable mentions in both Northern Virginia Rhythm and Maryland’s Music Monthly as a local solo acoustic performer in the mid-90s, Jon headed west in 97 where he met musicians from around the country and formed the San Diego-based band “Southbound Jonny” After fronting the high energy country rock and blues band for nearly 2 decades. Playing around the southwest and opening for acts such as Hal Ketchum and Dwight Yoakam. Virginia’s native son has returned home and back to his roots as a solo acoustic performer. Jon’ mix of 80s 90s country, americana, classic rock and blues is a subtle blend of vocal and acoustic harmony, fed by the energy in just about any room he seems to find himself in.

Self-reflective and acutely observant, Michelle deftly weaves lyric and note together to create intensely personal songs that tell of sentiments and circumstances nonetheless familiar to everyone.

Mixing genres from rock to folk to soul to bluegrass; flavors as varied as jazz and hip hop curl through the sound of Washington Area Music Association’s “Best Contemporary Folk Group” – ilyAIMY. ilyAIMY and their co-fronts Heather Aubrey Lloyd and Rob Hinkal have won accolades from Kerrville Folk Festival, National Association for Campus Activities, the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival (Most-Wanted Artist for both the band and Heather solo!). Heather has been recognized by the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Rocky Mountain Folks Festival and won 2019’s Bernard Ebb Songwriting Award. Most recently, both Rob & Heather won Gold Awards in the 2020 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest.

His music and covers revolve around alt-rock and top 40 selections. 2non’s future plans include writing more music, perfecting pan-searing a steak on his new stove and making a better attempt at giving hi-fives.

Elevado is a singer-songwriter duo composed of duel baritones, Brad Rhodes (vocals, piano, guitar) and Brent Shuttleworth (vocals, guitar). Both were independent, national touring artists that combined forces in Northern Virginia at the head of the 2020 quarantine. Their inspiration is drawn from their favorite artists, writers and teachers expanding beyond the music industry: Eckhart Tolle, Brené Brown, Damien Rice, Jon Bellion, and many more. Their sound is grounded in dynamic and vulnerable lyrics brought to life by the colorful exploration of melody crafted within transcendent musical landscapes.
